Quoted from null:

On my BTTF, I've got two issues with the drop targets - not dropping when struck hard, and frequently bouncing the ball into the air (often into the glass). Anybody had these issues and found a remedy?
The targets drop very easily and quickly when pressed by hand, but probably 80% of hard hits they just stay up. They need a soft hit to drop.
I haven't found many ideas for remedies. Some people sand off part of the plastic lip that keeps the target up. I've seen one person say that the kind of drop targets with 2 springs (one to pull them down, and a weaker one to pull them forward) don't have this problem. Seems like a decent idea, I might try to modify them for 2 springs.
And not every hard hit bounces the ball in the air, but many do. I don't mind airballs but the occasional glass strike concerns me.
Perhaps the targets bend so far back it gives a steep angle for the ball to bounce off of. Perhaps shifting the targets back a bit so they hit the back edge of the playfield hole sooner would help? This would probably make the bricking worse though. Also not sure how I'd move them without drilling new mounting holes in the assembly and playfield.
Maybe a thicker rubber behind? Mine does need to be replaced anyway, perhaps I can try that first.

My drops have a flipper and a regular rubber behind them. Maybe that would help.

Quoted from DropTarget:

Hi all,
Does anyone know if BTTF should have a mini post between the flippers. It seems all of the pics I see have one, but my machine does not, although there is a divot for a post. Was that at the discretion of the operator or is my machine just missing the post?
Thanks

Yes, it has a middle post.

Quoted from GeneLam:

I have a Phantom of the opera game that seems to be missing the 8 AMP Slowblow fuse, and Cap. Does anyoine know where I can get one. Thanks Gene

Buy an entire new fuse assembly and install it. This type of assembly is like what is used in boats. Auto parts stores may have it. Then you have to take the box apart and do some soldering. Here is one I bought on Amazon for an Indiana Jones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XBB8YI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00

Quoted from cws204:

I have a RoboCop that needs to be relocated and moving up some stairs.
-The head has to be completely removed.
I need a reminder how to remove the head right off on this game. Do I remove these 2 bolts, and that allows the head to tilt? once tilted do we expose the hinges to get them disconnected?
[quoted image]

Yep! You'll need to unplug a bunch of wires to get that head off, though.
