Didn't know I was missing out on a club....Thought it was just by machine lol
Got my first pin a few months ago. Wonder how many quarters I spent on Jurassic Park and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the day!

As JP is my favorite of all time, I made a facebook group for owners and some YouTube vids (more to come):

Quoted from hawkeyexx:

Can anyone air brush a speaker cover on my DE Simpons

And can this same person do the dino speakers for Jurassic Park?
Repros are definitely needed for this kinda thing!

Since my Jurassic Park group was growing so well, I decided to go make a Data East Pinball owners group just now. So if you're on Facebook, come check them out!

Several places have this, chadh is really the one you should chat with, he is the one updating the ROM code at this point. I have 1.04 in one of my DE SW, and it's terrific. I have 1.06 in the other one. you can get 1.03 thru 1.05 here https://www.marcospecialties.com/control/keywordsearch?SEARCH_STRING=Star+Wars+Data+East+ROM as well as the EPROM chips.
for more information on the ROM versions and staying current, check out Chad's site: http://www.pinballcode.com/

PM me when you're ready for 1.07
I just may know a guy

Quoted from ChadH:I am interested in picking up a DE Star Trek. Anyone near Chicago have one for sale? Or does someone in the Chicago area have one I can borrow for 6 months?

This is how rumors get started lol

Quoted from ChadH:

Find me a DE Star Trek so it can become a reality.

Lol, I don't have one...but by coincidence I just happen to be working on adding a classified ads section to my website

Question for the club. Does anyone have a pinsound board and a rotten dog mpu on the same game? I’m having issues and am not getting any support from pinsound guys. Wondering if this combo works for anyone. Thanks

I do not own either board...however I have been looking around considering a pinsound for my JP. One thing I noticed is they have an accessory available for data east if your power supply is aging / low voltage at the board. I would check your voltage and get this accessory if low or I've heard some people installing a second powersupply just for the pinsound/other mods as they draw power and add up. https://www.pinsound.org/shop/index.php?id_product=41&controller=product&id_lang=1 I've heard similar complaints from people installing ColorDMD and drawing more than normal off the one voltage segment.

If your regular sounds are working, and not the remix (or vice versa) it could be a either a bad/incorrect/corrupted mix stored on the USB or potentially act different due to voltage as the usb controls gains on different sounds/music and could be drawing different power or hitting that threshold of the voltage if it's right on the edge and the studio data cranks it up a notch.

Not an expert, but throwing my 2 cents in as something to try

Also if someone is considering selling their Pinsound, I may be interested.

ugg you taunt me!...I need a factory dino looking one, preferably the actual grill. OCD has pained me from day one that I have plain black speaker grills. Who can help!?

Forgot to mention I got pinstadiums instaled as well. Really makes the playfield pop!!
I'm just asking in general about the shaker because I'm wondering if all that shaking will cause problems down the road. (things shaking out of place or falling off onto the cabinet)

Quoted from GRB1959:

Hi Sean,
The shaker motor is great on TFTC and I haven't had any problems with things shaking out of place or falling off into the cabinet in the 3 years that I have owned my TFTC. You will be glad that you were able to get your shaker motor working on your TFTC once you play a few games with the shaker motor being fully functional.
Good luck on your upcoming NOS TFTC playfield swap. Your TFTC will really shine with a new playfield.
Gord

Definitely boring without a shaker. You can change the intensity of the shaking by loosening the set screws on the weight and changing the balance and then tightening it back down.
