Hey All - I have to change the backglass lift trim on my DE Batman.
Unless it's overkill... I had wondered what people do with the new trim -- if I should add a strip of electrical tape or anything on the bottom the glass or the inside of the new trim where it'll be touching the backglass to help with friction or rubbing against the artwork?
Thanks,
Also -- does anyone make a replacement sticker for the Museum on a DE Batman? or have any recommendations on where to look? I don't need a whole set from Marcos.

Friction tape, not electrical tape.
For the Lethal Weapon 3 owners...

Hope you all enjoy this update. This one was a lot of fun to work on. The game is better than ever now!

I’ve seen them before, but don’t remember where. Maybe Pinrescue Australia?
Marco has full decal sets for $50.
TA is stripped down, getting nook and cranny cleaning, new blue display, replacing some other molding and hardware. I think the opaque red shooter rod is much better.

I really need a replacement big ramp. Not the presumed HUO one I had before, but overall pretty nice.

Just posted my new Batman apron cards for sale, and I have other DE games also: http://aproncards.com
Thank you! I was hoping to not have to purchase the complete sticker set but it's looking like I will have to.

I may have missed this but does anyone have a source for the HUGE capacitor on the DE power supply? Mine is definitely bad and slowly drains until it no longer can keep capacitance as the game runs. I can’t find the massive one and my game does NOT have the holes for multiple smaller caps

Which Game... What version of power supply?...
I never had the "big cap" go bad but I know the small caps go bad and cause odd problems.

Nice! PM sent.
Quoted from Scoot:I have 8 pins in my line up and all I play is LAH. I don't know what specifically about it that I enjoy so much but such a great pin.
[quoted image]
LAH was my second to last pickup (Hook) and I'm convinced it is one of the best pins DE made in this timeframe as far as I'm concerned, certainly better than Jurassic Park which a number of people hold in high esteem! It shoots sweet, has a number of modes and good use of Arnold's call outs. My only bitch is the music could have been better done, Jurassic Park and Phantom of the Opera are outstanding in this area.
Quoted from gdonovan:My only bitch is the music could have been better done
Get a pinsound, better speakers and the Cap'n mix - totally worth it! Sounds just like the movie.

That Baywatch looks immamaculate (even with the legs on it)!

I agree! Such a great value for LAH. Whenever I have guests over its usually everyone's favorite to play. Its fast, great shots, easy to understand the rule set, and a fun theme. LAH and Laser Wat are my 2 favorite DE games!

That Baywatch was a full teardown and all new parts installed. When the Color DMD was available I purchased it that day. There are photos of all the work I did in the Baywatch thread.

Not that your machine isn't great, but I think you missed my attempt at a little humor (then again, I did misspell "imamaculate", kind of funny that I misspelled a misspelled word) - only one of the the greatest threads ever on Pinside: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-baywatch-nearly-imamaculate

Yep I remember that thread.....I was posting in there too about my Baywatch when I owned it.

Of the two playfields I have, they both have different rubbers - then looking through the galleries it seems that everyone has a different style.

I was going to build a custom Batman kit shortly on Titan’s site, and was thinking about going with the bells if they’ll fit.
I have standard sleeve posts on there now.

Will a Williams side rail fit on a Data East game? ..Looking at a chrome replacement like this one...The overall length is the same and appears to be the same...would like to get rid of the nails too...http://www.pinballplating.com/new-parts/gen3-williams-side-rails-h7zlf

The link you provided says those chrome rails are 51.4" long. On my Robocop the rails measure 50.5" long. So it looks you would have to cut an inch off of these chrome rails. That would be doable.
I think, but cannot confirm, that flipper buttons are in the same position on most pinball machines.
The area that looks different is the angled cut to allow for the lockdown bar to fit. It looks like it is a long, shallow cut. Robocop has a shorter, steeper cut.
I think, but cannot confirm, that Williams lockdown bar is wider than the DE/Stern lockdown bars.
What might happen if you install these on your DE pin is that there will be a gap between your lockdown bar and the rail. If there is a gap, it will not be a large gap and it might be enough to bother you.
If the gap did turn out to bother you, you could locate a Williams lockdown bar and receiver and swap those two parts out.
In the end, it is a pinball machine. There is enough length in the rails that if you want to make it happen you can make it happen.
Let's say the flipper holes did not line up. Go to the hardware store an buy some 1" dowel rod and fill your two flipper holes, attach the new rails and with a hole saw, cut new holes for the flippers that match the holes in the rails.

I am at 50 1/2". You are at 51". what you are interested in are advertised as being 51.40". You should be OK.
I think you will be OK to use them. But you do have the risk that there will be a small gap between your lock bar and the chrome rall. Compare the angle of cut at your 50 inch mark to the angle of the chrome rail you want to buy. It is hard to say from just a picture but I do think you would be OK.

It's a "bare foot" long. Get it?
Happy long weekend everyone (who's got one) - curious about the following pics from homerdalors31 (I tried messaging him directly but his inside mail wasn't taking messages).
I noticed on the machine page pics section that the user has raise the batcave plastic off the playfield a bit, and was wondering if anyone else has done this and if it's a successful mod to the game?
I'm assuming it's to keep it from taking ball hits and/or raising it to see the cave art underneath.
