eBay has a few for sale from time to time..

Already have this on my watchlist but they are quite rare over here...

Quoted from LamimaMZ:

Does someone have a good scan of a Time Machine manual? Mine did come without and the manual from ipdb is hardly readable on many pages...

https://quarterarcade.com/time-machine-data-east-5485

I don't know what the shipping rate to Germany is, but they do say they will ship international.

Or you can put up a wanted ad in the Pinside Market.

I have the board schematics on my website in the Data East section (bottom of the page).
They are all readable.
Also the Tech Chart is available on my website in the Tech Chart section.

Love to see DE machines getting the love they deserve every time i make a comment when i out playing pinball to a pinhead about Dataeast they roll there eyes and say their crap or just sigh in disgust. I feel they see me as the black sheep because my love of De and Gottlieb machines.

#606 2 years ago

I have a LW3, and have to agree...

-Real skill shot
-Loops
-Spinners
-Drops
-Saucers
-Pops
-Stand ups
-Hurry ups
-Ramp
-Kick back
-Video modes that include both the gun and flipper buttons...
-Video mode on the fly
+ more that i must be forgetting!

On top of all that, the game is just plain hard! Quad jackpot = awesome. Multiple QJ's = Extremely hard.

Of course I wish the rules/objectives were a little more dynamic but the game is definitely a complete package!

I'm sure many other DE games are of the same caliber.

DE and 90s Gottliebs, twice the fun for half the price.

Looking for a version 3 Data East MPU board (520-5003-03 or -04). I know RottenDog makes replacements, but looking for original. PM me! Thanks!

Agreed - the more I play other pins the more I realize how good (TFTC) it is. Color DMD can't come soon enough

They also need to make one for TMNT. I was almost going to buy one, but then I showed it to my wife. Having a four and six year old in the house, she just didn't think April's enormous jugs were appropriate for them to see! That's a really cool game, but unfortunately the first place everyone looks is at that translite.

It might be the first place I look, but my 3 and 5 year old don't notice them.......yet.

Sounds like a typical American response - oh no, large covered boobies on display.

My kids (3 and 9) wouldn't care / wouldn't notice either.

There was an arguement about the full throttle machine and people wanting the "can you give me a ride, big boy" line censored. If your kid can understand the sexual meaning behind that, its too late anyway.

Its funny how over protective some parents are

Getting deeper into the club on Saturday. Adding Star Wars to the collection putting me at 4 DE machines.

Hook
Star Trek
Rocky & Bullwinkle
Star Wars

I like the licensed machines from DE. Relatively cheap for throwback themes. I can appreciate the early DE machines, but I just haven't been able to bite the bullet when replacement plastic and playfield are so hard to come by and then they cost too high of a percent of the entire game.

#620 2 years ago

Hmmmm.... Maybe this could turn into something handy....

The 5th DE machine to ever come through my house. Have held on to two of them, unfortunately. Wish I had the other three back.

Someday...

Back in the club with my 2nd JP (first was around 16 years ago) looking for a decent 2 slot coin door to replace the single with an oddball bracket riveted to it that it came with.

#629 2 years ago

The Simpsons, looking for plastic scans and playfield scans. Really need a high quality photo of the Bart area down by the flippers. Would also be interested in buying plastics...have a bunch of broken ones.

#630 2 years ago

Besides the cost of the posts, is there any reason to use the plastic vs metal post? Seems like the metal post is for the slings and plastic everywhere else that gets a rubber around it.

Very very similar. Rocky is on hold until I get the new CNC'd bottoms that i'm working on replacing for both rocky and tommy. Picked up tommy two week ago.

I bought a Secret Service this week. It is in nice shape. Doing the tune up and adjustments. Also learning to play it. This is my first go with a D E game.

Solid game. My son and I go to this place that has around 35 machines and no matter what games they rotate in and out, I always keep going back to Secret Service.

My Grandkids are on break next week. The Mame is down waiting on a motherboard, I see a lot of pinball coming up soon.

Here is a picture. I finished going thru the solenoids yesterday. A question , is the plunger supposed to be powerful enough to make the ramp? The playfield incline is 8 degrees.

You mean the same America that is the porn capital of the world? So your "America is so prude" comment is just BS. People have different levels of what they consider descent for their families. Has nothing to do with just being something unique to America. You should maybe get out more and see the real world for yourself sometime.

#640 2 years ago

I have lived in several countries and visiting many in my lifetime (24 and counting).

Also have homes in both California and Kaliningrad Oblast (Russia - right on the Baltic).

Needless to say, I've been around and yes, Americans are usually prudes - nothing wrong with that.

Anyone have ideas for good replacement for this plastic mesh - it covers the cabinet holes and speaker hole. Thanks

Check electronics store, speaker grill.
Or, metal fabricator shop.

Wondering if anyone ever had problems with their sound board playing the sounds but no music? I have a playboy 35th and can't seem to get any music out of it...i get most of the sounds, though. And the weird thing is, I have a second board and it does the same thing...sound but no game music. I thought it might be the flat cable that runs to MPU but no luck on that, either.

Check the voltages on the sound board. There is at least one voltage generated on the sound board.
