I have recently purchased a Data East Last action Hero and there was an issue with the GI lighting not working. I replacd the connectors on the power supply and the PPB as well as new cable connectors. I also replaced a couple of the fuse holders. This did fix the problem although only until I started the game as this is when the globes go out (both on the back board and play field). During the game they do come on from time to time although only when they are cycling with the flashers. I have checked all of the cables and cannot see any issues and given they do come on I am guessing there is connectivity. I have installed new fuses in to this circuit and none of the have blown at this stage.

Does anyone know where I need to be looking as I am out of ideas and uncertain what I need to be checking next.

Perfect this has located the issue. I will now change the transistor and see if this fixes the issue.

I finally got around to fixing this issue although all I did was re-seat the connector on the CPU board and it all worked again as it should. Thanks for your help mikat11 as I would not have even know where to look without your assistance.
