Data East flipper stays energized w 2 different flipper boards

Hello All.
I'm scratching me head with this one.
On a house call with a Data East Simpsons and the right flipper was stuck energized and blew the 50v fuse on the flipper board. Replacing the fuse repeats the issue.

For the sake of ease, I swapped in a known working spare flipper board and the right flipper again energizes and pops the fuse on the new board.

What am I missing? Isn't all the flipper control done on the flipper board? Only the grounds come from the cpu an CN19?

I've gotta be overlooking something obvious here.....

Reads like you have a short. Check you path from the flipper board to the flipper coil and back to the flipper board. Don’t over think it. It will be obvious once you find it. Thanks my guess.

Try it with the flipper board disconnected and see if the coil pulls in. I once had a JP and 2 pinched wires were causing the coil to be energized towards the back of the playfileld. 2 wires were rubbing on a bracket causing voltage to go to the coil
When a game was started. The flipper relay energized sending ground to coil.
