That is usually caused by a broken trace/finger on the display board itself. If switching the cabe ends does not resolve the problem, you will need someone to attempt to repair the trace, just replace the display.

With display glass problems like this, sometimes you can fix it, sometimes you can't.

Also, there is nothing specific with the LW3 display making it a "DE display". It's just a standard size DMD display.

Possibly... Switch it like GLSP3022 suggested. If there is not change, then no, it's not the cable. If it's not the cable, the problem is with the display (much more likely).
