I have TFTC and LW3 both have just AWFUL bumpers. Ive been told to replace them with the Bally/Williams Spoon switches. Anybody try this?? Is this the right thing??

Any other advice?? They all work in theory but you have to hit them just right. As always thanks in advance!!!

The B/W spoon switches do help with DE pops, which require a lot more adjustment to work well. Be prepared to spend a little bit more time adjusting the switch so it sits just right.

BUT....do NOT purchase from Marco....4 bucks EACH???? Way too expensive. BAA has em for 1.15

I rebuilt my DE GNR pops with the spoons from PBL and they're as snappy as... something really snappy.

75 cents each.

The spoons look to be the same shape as the ones already in there from data east, the parts cross over

Just adjust the leaf's you don't need need new spoons, I remember a thread on these and side by side the spoon shape was identical,
The bumpers on my JP are just as sensitive to any other pinball I've played,
Take out your spoons and leafs and clean them and adjust them so they are only a mm apart,
Let the thumping begin!

They are a little different, I *think* the B/W spoons are slightly shallower than the DE spoons.

I know I swapped the B/W ones into my GnR and a buddy's JP and it made a world of difference.

Of course I also swapped DE spoons into his BBB to help out the sluggish pops in that.

I've removed the entire mess and waxed the spoons and "stick" at the end of the skirt. It's helped a lot on all my DE games.

They changed the pop bumpers around when baywatch came out. The pops in baywatch and later work much better than earlier games. You can probably use those parts in earlier games.

One thing DE has for it: I LOVE the fact you can remove the pop assembly from the game. Makes it 100x easier to adjust!

lots of ideas here...

I don't have any issues with my weaker pops. I actually kind of like that it is different.
