Super excited to be an owner of this beautiful pinball machine. If anyone has info on contacts for purchasing overlays or hardtops, I would greatly appreciate it. As you can tell, this playfield needs to be sanded and redone.

0k, heard back and all is good...no worries.

Guys,

Has anyone been able to reach pantherpinball? I got a quick response earlier this week and sent photos with playfield condition description. I sent a couple follow-up messages but no response. I hope he's okay because I figured he's dealing with Texas Weather stuff.

Update: Added pics of motor and broken plastic mentioned below.

Hey Guys,

I was finally able to go through all the loose parts from the machine I picked up last weekend (most are currently repacked and organized in boxes now). This is a project pin and I'm trying to make a list of parts that are missing or need replacing. Can anyone send me pics showing the underside of playfield? I can't find any helpful pics online showing the underside. As of now, I have the wires/solenoids/switches/bulb sockets layed out for inspection. I'll need to replace a few solenoids and coil sleeves. I taped all areas that have loose or unattached wires...and will figure out where they attach per manual/schematics. Some areas that I'm hoping to get more pics include the pop bumpers and other major assemblies. Still going through the manual and checking off all items for the major assemblies.

Also, I briefly checked the motor assembly and it doesn't seem to rotate by hand. Not sure if this is typical of a motor that isn't supplied with power (detached) but I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. I'll post more on that later.

There's a clear plastic that has an intersecting piece broken off. I'm not able to identify the piece based on online playfield photos, so I'll post pics later on. Hoping there's a replacement for that piece (if it's important).

Thanks!

Thanks Dviana01! These pics are very helpful. I went ahead and ordered a whole bunch of stuff that was missing.

Still trying to figure out where some of the pieces are used (in attached photos). The rectangular gray fiber pieces have these micro bolts with tiny washers and nuts. I feel like I'm missing one because these were included loose with the pop bumper assemblies.

As for the wide bronze colored L-shaped brackets (in attached photo), I'll need to study your pics a little longer.

Things are starting to come together. Thanks again for your help.

Quoted from Dviana01:

the metal L brackets go under the bat cave. the others must be missing from mine as I do not recognize them at all.

I never would have figured that out. You're the man!

2nd Update to this post: Now I'm thinking this was meant to fit at ramps missing almost all the sidewall plastic, especially at the end where the ball bashes. That makes more sense. If that's the case, I would need to remove part of the plastic at the end to get this metal protector in place. I'm going to hold off on installing the protector.

Update to this post: I wonder if it's meant to go on the outside of the ramp instead. Still, it doesn't allow the screw hole to line up, and it's not quite wide enough to go on the ouside. Must be a tolerance issue with this protector.

I bought this ramp protector for the drop area and it doesn't fit. Has anyone had this issue on their ramp? It's just too wide to fit between the plastic lane. I tried bending to fit, but that does not change width at the 90 degree angles.

Quoted from Clizifer:

I made my own version of this out of some thin aluminum then epoxied it on the outside of the ramp and stuck some foam tape on the inside and I haven't had any issues. I believe I posted some pictures in here if you look back some posts

That's clever. I'll be doing the same. Thanks for letting me know.

For anyone interested, those gray fiber switch insulators with the tiny bolts and washers that I mentioned in a previous post go to both VUK's. Also, I had a loose metal bushing in the cabinet and finally figured out it belongs to the up-down museum target at the motor. I pretty much have figured out where all the loose pieces go, and have ordered new parts where necessary. This is a fun rebuild.

Subject: Rebuild Batman

Hey Guys,

During the making of a clear plastic template for my new overlay, I stumbled on some questionable items. After pretty much finding all the proposed holes needed for the template, I decided to double-check the locations for all game plastics. I was provided with 4 loose metal hex spacers, each 1/2" long. I found where 2 of the spacers are to be located (separating top clear plastic from bottom plastic on right side of playfield). I still can't account for the other 2 spacers. Also, there are 2 plastics (013 and 4) that I cannot figure out where they go. If anyone has any information that can help me find the place of these spacers and plastics (see pic with red background) I would greatly appreciate it!

As a side note, there is no way I could have gotten this far without you all providing photos and advice along the way. I've been able to figure out how to rebuild the entire underside of playfield along with most of the topside. You have all been very helpful.

Pieces missing or in need of replacement during the cataloging process:
A couple orange posts (purchased more)
Eyebolt at playfield and safety harness
A G.I. socket was removed (purchased new sockets to be stapled)
Rubber Rings (purchased new set as is expected when rebuilding a game)
Both Flipper Coils and Ball Launch Coil (sleeves are stuck) need replacement (purchased replacement coils)
Mismatched coin reject buttons with one green and one red. Still searching for a green to replace red.
Missing plumb bob (purchased new bob)
Rear Legs were chrome (painted black)
One Allen Head #1/4 x 3/8" Round HD missing from Flipper Assembly (replaced with a similar bolt)
One 8-32x3/8 S.E.M.S. missing from turboboost kicker (replaced with a similar bolt)
Burnt CN1 connector for power supply (purchased replacement kit)
Missing coin box lid (low priority)

Thank you

Update:

As usual, I'm able to answer my own question AFTER posting on pinside. I just need to wait 24 hours after thinking of posting. I just happened to come across a restoration thread showing the exact placement of those plastics underneath the Joker ramp, one plastic above the other. I'm assuming the remaining 2 hex spacers are used between the 2 plastics in question (difficult to tell from online photo). Another piece solved!

I want to thank the previous owner for selling me this Batman Pin. It was a huge project stretching back to March. Finding the time to catalog and clean all the loose parts/pieces, ordering new parts, replacing the playfield art with an overlay, and troubleshooting power supply and ppb board issues was all worth it! Now, I get to enjoy installing my pinsound board with the compatible speakers. This is what I had hoped for all along. Thanks to all that helped me make this pin come together. The tips and pictures were extremely valuable.

Slim2013,

Check this thread for additional pics:

Some of those plastics look like they belong to the batcave ramp.
