On the DATA EAST sound board, the jumper setting is quite simple:
• W1, W2 and W3 are used to select the clock frequency for the interrupt line.
There is no reason to change it, most of the time, W1 is jumpered.
• W4 and W5 are used to configured the model of RAM installed: W5 should be jumpered for a 6116 (2 KB), or W4 for a 6264 (8 KB).
As most of boards used a 6116 at U4 position, W5 should be jumpered.
If your board has a 6264, change for W4.
• W6 and W7 are use to select the ROM size at U17/U21 positions.
For a 256 KB (27002), W6 should be jumpered.
For a 512 KB (27004), W7 should be jumpered.
As HOOK use 2 x 256 KB chips (27002), W6 should be jumpered for this pinball.
As TALES FROM THE CRYPT use 2 x 512 KB chips (27004), W7 should be jumpered for this pinball.
