Orbits?
Does the far right ramp shot also act as an orbit as well? (Ramp flap would have to go up)
Same thing on the shot to the left of the chum bucket. Can it go around, or does it always feed the upper playfield?
Quoted from TOpinhead:I fixed it! You're welcome, Stern!
[quoted image]
Yeah, I was going to say earlier, it almost seemed composition wise, like there was room for him, but surely they knew at the beginning Schieder was a no go.
Quoted from gonzo73:After Jaws 2, Chief Brody was finished with Small Town politics and angry Sea Food. He divorced his wife, changed his name and moved to Los Angeles.
As an ex army Helicopter Pilot during the Vietnam war, he joined the LAPD and started flying again.
It's all connected. Here's the Saga of Roy's character.
1. The French Connection
2. The Seven Ups
3. Jaws
4. Jaws 2
5. Blue Thunder
All one epic story.
And let's not forget his venture into Major League Baseball in Tiger Town- haha. All his character wanted to do was win a World Series before he retired. Movie came out in '83. And the Tigers won their last World Series for real the next year in '84.

It looks better for sure.
are people gonna be putting stickers on their playfields?!
Quoted from frankmac:If anyone decides to replace the pop bumper buoy with a Gary Stern in a inner tube mod I will take one.
[quoted image]
Gary needs a mode named after him in a game soon. He flippin deserves it!
I just have to send my deposit and I am officially taking the plunge on an LE. Like anyone completely out of their mind paying this kind of $$ for a pinball I have found the ability to justify the $3300 over premium with the extras. Expression speaker lights, invisiglass, art blades, mirrored backglass, reflective foil HD Decals, shaker, upgraded speakers, great white powder coated armour, yellow barrel shooter rod.
I couldn’t do the pro without the shark coming out. I don’t want him eating my balls. I just want to bash my balls into his face and that’s what I am going to get to do. I think the game is going to be a blast to flip and play and slay sharks. My only question mark is the upper playfield. Foo fighters is the first one I have liked so hoping this one doesn’t totally suck ass. It looks OK with a few different shots and ability to route the ball where I need it to go to make the next kill shot. I am also disappointed there is no inner cab expression lighting but the speaker lights and integration into the game do look cool and a first for sure.
Any idea why the Scheider estate didn't want him on it?
You'd think they'd be happy to make whatever money they can.
I understand it's like that with a lot of people once they've passed, but com'on..... people don't get more popular after they're dead and time passes.... the public just forgets about them. The exposure is good for other licensing deals.

You can only speculate…maybe they are greedy, maybe they don’t like pinball, maybe they wanted “creative control’ or maybe stern just couldn’t afford him after paying for everything else. (Quint, hopper, John Williams, iconic jaws poster art, all 4 movies)
Stern Bond aficionados remember that Gomez claimed buying the theme to Goldfinger would have exceeded their entire “assets” budget.
Ya just don’t know! And it’s not something these guys routinely talk about so it’ll probably stay a mystery.
Just make up your own explanation.

Looks like no orbits on this game.
Also looks like no dual gi lights on this game like on godzilla... that's to bad bc the red could have been used really well on this game / theme like in godzilla.

Yeah it's odd! Easy money you'd think. I would want my family immortalized if given the opportunity I'd view it as an honor. Hell, I'll never be on a game or anything else for that matter.
Just rewatched the original JAWS for the 5th + time. It’s kinda comical to me know. Very over it. I hope the pin shoots great, as I own a handful of pins that were derived from cheesy films (LaH JM LW3 BF etc) and they shoot better than the typical pin. Jaws is not a cheesy film, but it’s not something I want to hang on my wall. I really will play it though when it heads my way!

A big reason I didn’t buy into Jaws. Brody (Roy) WAS the main man in this film. I’m also biased as a fan. Miss the guy.

When I re watched again I thought I discovered something in 2 seperate scenes. Little did I know all these years

I paused that and showed my friends that tonight. Funny you mentioned this. It’s ‘blaringly visible’. We are not alone. Close encounters lol.

Very cool..... does that mean the meteor will eat the ball when the pin comes out?

Jaws 2 is kinda serious; it’s comprised of cut concepts from the novel and “ah shit here we go again” with teens. But Jaws 3 is super fun in a cheesy way. It’s basically Jurassic Park 10 years before it (with the special effects to show for it). There are a few humorous things they can pick out of 4. It’s for the best they get the silly stuff for the sequels to pad out a game about an atmospheric and slow burn thriller.
Quoted from fooflighter:Did a real quick and crappy cut and paste for those getting Premiums and thinking about white powdercoating

Can you do blood red? And I’d like to sea deep blue. Please and thank you
Quoted from Kkoss24:Watch this. Sorry I don’t know how to link on here. Spielberg said he could never come close to making any film tgat real looking. Good Night

Dude. Copy the link from those websites or anything on ur computer then paste that in the text in your replies here. Look up how to copy/paste, based on your operating system

I don't have photoshop skills, I was trying to layer trace the armor and then colorize it but resorted to a simple cutting of the artwork onto the LE model. Sorry. I would be interested to see blue and red as well

Yeah. White. Pretty Clishe. Deep ocean blue might work cool. I really wish the art on the cabs would tie all together, as a panoramic

Okay, my best attempt...amateur hour photoshop but it gives a little better idea

Got me thinking…..
Quints skins as smooth as a new borns bum.
Doesn’t have those salty weathered facial features.
FYI, for those asking about mods, PantherCityPins started a Jaws Mod thread over here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/jaws-mod-thread
I added Rocket City Pinball's 3D start button and 3D coin rejects, but here's a cross-post with pics anyway. These were super fun and turned out great!

Is this like chin-balls? Because if so, it could be called Shark With Balls On Chin.

Getting an LE myself, but I’m loving what you did with the premium’s
2025……. Jaws is back!
We are giving you what you have always wanted.
The 50 year anniversary Chief Brody edition
Featuring a ball eating shark and the most loved character from the franchise!
By the way, Roger Kastel, the painter of the original Jaws poster artwork, as well as "Empire Strikes Back", and even "Gone with the Wind", died just two months ago on November 15, 2023 at age 96.
Also, the backglass is inspired, not literally his artwork, in case anyone is curious.

There was an inside joke between one of my brothers and myself towards a friend at the time….
We were talking about the “situation” and my sister in laws son overheard. From then on, he was chanting “chin nuts” to the third party.
I’m in for the premium model, love the art on the translite, but especially the cab art
Having Chief Brody’s likeness represented just feels right
Can’t wait to set this baby up next to my Star Wars, my favourite films side by side
Quoted from TOpinhead:YOU ASKED FOR IT!

You could probably make money off some stickers
Quoted from Billygrippo:Now add the wife
She'd be under the playfield swallowing Hoopers balls, so she would look odd on top of the playfield...
for all the negativity, here's a positive spin
This pin is "JAWS" (well 1 2 3 and 4) and not JAWS 4
Thanks Stern, take note JJP
