I bought a Cyclone game with lots of issues that are now solved. But one issue remains. Most often, but not always, when you start up the game it shuts down at once or when the ball hits the first, second or third target, sometimes more. Then you can press the credit button and it starts up again - and goes down like above. When it happens all the power goes down except some lamps in the topbox and playfield. After some try with aborted play rounds it starts to work fine and you can play for as long as you want, its like it needs to get "warmed up". I have checked for burned contacts and loose fuses. The batteries are brand new with good connetions of course. So - any suggestions, Im geting borded of this issue.

Most likely the caps on the power supply need to be replaced.

Recap and reflow the headers on the power supply

Thank you for your time and support. Unfortently my technical english is not at the same level as yours. So please explain "Most likely the caps on the power supply need to be replaced" and "Recap and reflow the headers on the power supply". What are "the caps" and "the headers"?

Caps = Capacitors

Maybe you should send the boards out for repair instead, no offense. Unless youre willing to spend some money on tools and some time learning basic repair. If you are check out Pinwiki and get a decent soldering station to learn how to solder

Thanks again. I have been soldering with my soldering station since I started to play pinball when I was about ten years old and built simple electronic projects, and I still do soldering sometimes when I must. But its not so often as back in the days, that was more before I went to be an electrical engineer.

Anyway - now I know what you mean with "caps", sometimes its tricky for a guy from Sweden to understand technical english slang words.

BTW - the problem was a bad connection in one of the headers on the power board. Now the game is up and running!

Apologies! I had thought by the way you were talking that you were inexperienced. Glad you got it fixed. Id recommend recapping the power supply if they are original.
