Not understanding fully. You said it damaged the display and then you said no damage to display. If it has damage where or what did it damage? Have you tried it since it fell out?

First thing I would do is check the 1/4 amp fuse for the high voltage. If bad replace and check the voltages going to the display panel to see if they are where they should be.
