Cyclone Roller Coaster Crisis

Dear Lloyd

I recently changed ZR1 and ZR3 on my Cyclone to fix a problem where the scoreboard display would go dark during play, getting progressively worse.

That fixed the problem and I’ve been a happy player for about 2 weeks, playing about 100 games?

Now the entire machine loses power and nothing works (oddly the music keeps playing softly?) I turn it off for a period of time and it comes back to life.

Is my power supply in need of an overhaul and where would I start.

If there is a small benefit to being lock downed with Covid19 its more time for pinball.

Thank you,

Nancy R.

Hi Nancy R.

I'd overhaul the power supply. You beefed up one part and likely caused stress on other old parts.

Thank you,

LTG : )
