Just joined the club with a fairly rough Cyclone. 16-hours in the truck but well worth it I think!

From my reading it seems most Cyclones have mylar of some sort. Mine has small pieces in front of the slings and then the large piece over those. Leads me to believe that the large piece at the very least was not factory (and might come off without too much damage).

Based on these pics what do Cyclone owners recommend for removal... heat gun or cold air? I'm assuming most would remove it given the wavy areas in front of the flippers which I tried to show with some light shining on them.

Quoted from Jarbyjibbo:

Generous amounts of canned air and goof off for the residue is my recipe.

So where lies the greatest risk in damaging the paint and decals? Is it the quick separation from the freezing or the removal of the glue later?

I keep reading about how much riskier this process is with system 11. I'm still trying to decide whether or not to attempt it at all.

Little tribute to Cyclone (the only pinball I own). Thought this group would enjoy it.

that is very cool! Nice work!!! I'd hang that up in my game room

Thank-you! Well you can since I offer these in my shop here on Pinside lol. Sure my post is a shameless bit of spam... but you better believe this will be the first place I post when I finally do have issues with my own Cyclone which (knock on wood) is working perfectly for now.

Thanks guys. Call me an overly polite Canadian... I just hate promoting myself. But it's the internet... have to scream a little if you want to get noticed for 30 seconds haha.

Thought I'd share a new 5-colour screen print I just finished up. Sadly I no longer own Cyclone... I really miss it (and all my old games).

That's really cool! Brilliant work! what size is it?
Since the vampire is essentially pointing at the clown in his house, there should be a caption "Hey you, with the face!" lol

Thanks so much! The title of the piece literally is "Hey, You With The Face!" so spot on there haha.

It's a 12x16 print. Cheers!
