Sounds like a switch matrix problem. Bomb sound is the slam tilt which will reset the machine. Start button is causing you to trigger a tilt switch.

Sounds like a switch matrix problem. Bomb sound is the slam tilt which will reset the machine. Start button is causing you to trigger a tilt switch.
Check to see that the slam tilt switch isn't physically stuck closed. The problem might not be that switch itself, but rather a diode on the same column or row, so disabling that switch might not fix or identify the problem.
