After reading another thread on custom coin reject inserts, I couldn't remember if someone had made ones like these for TAF before or not, so I just went ahead and drew them up. Pretty easy to do. They should print out at the correct size, just make sure you're printing at 100% scale.

Thanks! Gonna use them in my machine.

Cool idea would like to see them in a machine.

I was going to do that last night and post some pics today, but I didn't get home until late and was too pooped out to start the disassembly.

I'll see if I can get to it tonight.

Thanks, just printed and installed these on mine.

Had to fiddle with the size a bit and I raised the contrast too.

They should be printing out at:

Coin Insert Size = 29mm (H) x 15mm (W) or 1.15" (H) x 0.59" (W)

That's awesome! Nice work.
Would like to see installed.

Yeah, for some reason when I save them as a JPG or PDF, the 100% black turns to about 90% black.

Try these just in case. Did a bit of changing to the blacks.

What do you print these on? Transparency film?

Quoted from MArmour:

I just used plain white paper and a B&W laser printer.

The coin inserts you would be replacing are just printed on thin white card stock.

It would be nice if someone documented and published a "how to" tutorial on this

It's pretty straight forward.

There are three screws around each of the coin chutes that hold that angled piece to the door. Unscrew each of the six screws and the thing should pretty much just fall out of the door. Make note of the lengths of the screws as there are a couple specific locations certain ones go into.

From there, the coin reject "buttons" should also just fall out.

The face of those buttons are held in by a simple interference-fit set of "pins" that are part of the face of the reject buttons.

The way to remove that face is by the two longitudinal slots that are on the sides of the button. Insert a screwdriver in there and GENTLY twist it in each side slot to pop the face off.

Once the face is off, you'll see the recess that those inserts sit in and then you can remove them and replace them with whatever you like!

Then, reverse this process to reinstall!

I've installed these on mine and they look pretty nice. If I remember to take a picture tonight, I'll post it up here tomorrow.

That look really nice! Could you make some of Rocky and Bullwinkle or Mr Peabody and Sherman?

Here's a halfway decent picture of what they look like installed, for those that were curious. I printed mine on some thicker photo paper stock to help block more light. They look a little bit better than this in person as the camera tends to let in a little more light than is actually there.
