Hello!
I am trying to make a floating-eye shooter rod for my Scared Stiff. The posts for these being sold on Pinside are all 4 years old. I have reached out to the Pinsider who was selling those to see if he still was, but have not had a response. I found the eyeballs and ordered a couple, and I know the shooter is easy to come by. But there is one crucial piece I can’t figure out.
The floating eye has a liquid in it so you can’t just drill it out. There is a piece of trim in between the sphere and the rod that they both are epoxied to.
Does anyone know of something I can use as a piece of intermediary trim to act as a point of adhesion for both the sphere and the rod?
Preferably something cupped on one side to cradle the sphere and give good surface area to epoxy on while flat on the other side so it can be drilled out to receive the rod and more epoxy.
I just need that one piece but I can’t find it for the life of me.
Thanks in advance for help with such a left field question.
