I don’t like most custom shooter knobs.

I'm with you. I don't mind the way they look, but a lot of them over the years were just toys and crap plasti-welded to a rod. Just utter garbage. Then guys started coming out with custom 3d sculpted ones, which LOOKED great, but often feel terrible to use.

The Metallica one pictured above is actually the ONLY custom shooter rod I've ever had on 60+ games, and even it felt "wrong"...it was just a little too big.

I like custom shooters as long as they have a nice feel to them. Basically they should be round and disk shaped like the OEM and not shaped like a Storm Trooper head, Joker head, Raptor claw or something like that. I don't even like the ball shaped ones because of the feel.

I really like the ones from Super Skill Shot. They are done so smooth and perfectly shaped on the backside that they feel great and help to be more consistent on hitting skill shots. To me this is the perfect shape and also cool design:

This one I put on LOTR feels nice to shoot with. I don't like the plastic heads or weird shaped ones that feel strange in your hands.

Going with an oversized 1.5" or 2" ball can be fun too.

The watermelon on Whoa Nellie fits nicely with the theme.

As already said... most suck, some are good and a few are perfect

My friend gave me a 1.5” ball-end shooter for my GOTLE, and I like it (it helps that there’s not really a plunger-based skill shot). The 2” and bigger ones just don’t feel right. I guess I’m saying that unlike Angus Young, I Don’t Like Big Balls.
