This came up pretty cool, thought I'd share it with the group

When I got this No Fear it was a bit of a beater. Really faded, hadn't seen much love.

I finally got around to rebuilding it over the last few months. Its been a busy year, what can I say ....

- new cabinet decals
- gloss black powdercoating replaces the standard chromework
- full LEDs of course
- LEDs to the back box which look pretty darn cool too
- full mechanical rebuild of course

First game I had on it I got 5 billion plus so I'm sick of it already haha!

cheers for looking
Dave

Thanks! I think the gloss black suits the No Fear theme ok ...

Yeah I really like the black legs and bar.. much better than stock. I think I would go for the clear red buttons with red LEDs though instead of straight clear with red LEDs.

#5 11 years ago

I like it , I think mine will get that treatment . Thanks for sharing

Great call on the black powder coating, I'll do that on my next NF!

#7 11 years ago

Wow. Looks fantastic. Where the hell did you find the cab decals? Great job BTW, NF sure is a fav of mine (the challenge machine)....

#8 11 years ago

Decals here:

I guess you can buy them from your usual US sources as well.

Sweet!

#9 11 years ago

Not really a fan powder coated legs in general but that black does look pretty sweet.

Nice work Dave

looks nice in black

Yeah, me neither. Purple this, pink that .... Not for me sorry.

I keep most things stock, with a few exceptions.

I did a Spider-Man with red metal a while back, looked pretty good.

I have used gloss black on a few machines now, STTNG, SS, NF, probably a few more that I can't think of right now. Looks good on all of them.

Matt black is more practical though. Gloss does show up finger marks etc. but ok for a private home arcade.

Heres a pic of the Spiderman in Red powdercoat.

Came up pretty nice again IMO, the LEDs look cool too.

Wow, new cab graphics look really nice on NF. You see so many with major fade. Looks really good in black! I would throw some black leg bolts in, or paint what you have as a final touch. Nice work.

I went clear buttons in case I wanted to put a colour changing LED behind them ... But red works ok

Works for the AC/DC fire button too ... Clear with colour changing led behind it.

good call.. I retract my previous statement!

Looks fantastic. Just got mine dialed in also. The LEDs really pop in this machine. Now I'm considering the black also. Looks like that's the way it should of been built. I also upgraded the speakers and put in a sub. I think your going to cost me money!

#24 11 years ago

Man, I need to get a cherry no fear one day... that is one of my favorite games.

Looks cool! Most will love it! I just prefer gloss black paint inside the cabs. Don't like mirror blades either. Pointless

Sweet!

He sold it some time back, but perhaps still knows of it's whereabouts.

I feel that someday, he will probably own another. Just a matter of time...

I can’t sale mines either. I would regret it.
