I posted a year ago about how I used white paper to diffuse the bright LED light under the opaque red caps on High Speed, making a nice reflection down and around the base and not a hot spot on the top.

I have now done this with some milky white plexiglass for a translucent red cap on my F-14. I prototyped it with white paint on the old melted cap, but it didn't work as well, so I went with the plexiglass. I cut, sanded and filed it tight to make it fit and used a tiny bit of clear glue to ensure it doesn't work out and fall on top of the LED (which then clearly shows the 4 mini SMD points very brightly).

Took tons of pictures below with and without flash to show how it looks in warm and cool light and on the game.
