I have made these for a friend who has a badly damaged cabinet. I have finished the design work and they have been printed. I'll be laminating and installing them for my friend on Wednesday.

Ha, it has already happened Frax. DW files were 1.1mb, this LOTR art is about 1.2gb so it'll be a heck of a lot harder to share. Just to be clear to anyone thinking of asking, no the source files are not available

My LOTR isn't in the best condition either and that was what I scanned to get the base for the art. There were 34 scans to stitch together for one side and 6 for the front. Then the cleanup of the scroll work and then finding decent enough images to use, changing colours, blending, deleting, starting over etc etc. You'll see in the scan below the where the legs go on my cabinet is worn back to the white background and it has damage along the bottom edges and some scratches. Fixing the halftone shading in those areas is always a bit of a mission and it doesn't help with the clean up of the scans when the scanner starts banding, arrghhh.
