I bought these legs from pinball life, and they are nice, but I am not going to use them. Too dark for what I have going on. May use them on a Seawitch.
I have a new set of chrome legs coming, which I will have powdered in the black chrome like everything else
Also, glad to have the rest of studs done...
Quoted from Whysnow:You should put studs in for the last bolt on the side rails. It would prevent all slap saves, lol.
looking cool!
Haha...I actually thought about that myself..
Forced respect..
Quoted from Khabbi:I want to see the first guy that goes to nudge that machine.
He will also be the last guy...
Quoted from Quadrat:Loving the spikes, takes me back to many concerts I went to in the 80's.
Great job.
Need band names.
Quoted from Quadrat:The first concert I went to was Thin Lizzy, second was Blue Oyster Cult, Third was Molly Hatchet. After that the not sure on order. I was very lucky that I worked as a lead shipper for a big company and got free tickets all the time. I've seen many bands over 20 times & more over 10 times. I've live in LA/OC area so when bands come to town you might see three bands or more at one show. This helps stack the numbers. Bands that I've seen over 20 times are: Rush, Dio(R.I.P.), Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Van Halen(with each singer/like Sammy the best), Scorpions, Dokken, Queensrÿche, Ozzy Osbourne. Many of the other I've seen were opening for the first group and many have seen them headline a show or two, bands like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Black Sabbath, Guns n' Roses, Metallica, Deep Purple, W.A.S.P., Armored Saint, Cinderella, Motörhead, Rainbow, Quiet Riot. There's a ton more. Not all had spikes but many did.
You saw Motorhead, you are lucky. I was more into Black Flag, Dead Kennedy's, Circle Jerks, etc. Saw it more there..
Going with cool white and red. Bought the led adaptors. Love them. Warm white would only be good on a yellowed pf.
Quoted from seshpilot:Very nice. This is inspiring me to actually start on my Fathom restore. I'd like to some custom stuff to it as well but no clue what I should try!
My powder coater hooked me up with a website that sells custom powder. Makes a big difference. PM me if u need.
I will add some spikes to topper today.
Having a tough time locating a switch issue...
Just got my repro echo board from Big Daddy. Glad he makes them, originals are obsolete.
Quoted from chuckwurt:I guess start with the first switch that comes up in diagnostics and trace that switches wire all the way back looking for shorts. Something's gotta be pinched or touching something else somewhere.
It's got a few strange issues. The #2 drop continuously scores when dropped. The left flipper lane change switch fires the right sling. There is no switch matrix diagram for these old Bally's, so it's a bit frustrating. I give it time as my patience allows.
Im putting new connectors at the boards now to eliminate any problems there.
Quoted from mof:WOW.
This is winning thinking.
Should the player counter the pain and wear a protective cod piece to avoid damage from the cabinet?
The cod piece will be wired to the switch at the drain to give proper punishment at end of ball. Low voltage, of course...
Switch diode short. And a (new) flipper coil was bad. Thank you to Matt G. and Barrington for help. I was running out of gas.
Bg from bgresto will be here tomorrow. Yes..1 day before I load it up to take to Ohio show. I will have it on freeplay thru Saturday.
I had all the metal parts powdercoated in black chrome. They look sweet in person.
Thanks for comments.
I have more ideas for another Centaur if I can find one.
