Quoted from Jjsmooth:

I appreciate what CPR does for us, but damn, whoever is doing the clear coat, please put a rollover star upside-down when spraying. It's an hour of cleanup to get these working correctly. Please.

That's unsat. I guess I'd better be prepared when I start my swap...

really liking this!

I like how all other machines in the vicinity will be terrified of coming near this machine -- as they should be.

If they ever make a Judas Priest pin, this is exactly how it should look haha

Rebuilding old Bally in line drops is not one of life's finer pleasures. Add to that, someone decided WD40 would "fix" these....

Need band names.

The first concert I went to was Thin Lizzy, second was Blue Oyster Cult, Third was Molly Hatchet. After that the not sure on order. I was very lucky that I worked as a lead shipper for a big company and got free tickets all the time. I've seen many bands over 20 times & more over 10 times. I've live in LA/OC area so when bands come to town you might see three bands or more at one show. This helps stack the numbers. Bands that I've seen over 20 times are: Rush, Dio(R.I.P.), Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Van Halen(with each singer/like Sammy the best), Scorpions, Dokken, Queensrÿche, Ozzy Osbourne. Many of the other I've seen were opening for the first group and many have seen them headline a show or two, bands like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Black Sabbath, Guns n' Roses, Metallica, Deep Purple, W.A.S.P., Armored Saint, Cinderella, Motörhead, Rainbow, Quiet Riot. There's a ton more. Not all had spikes but many did.

Where did those drops come from

#65 7 years ago

The targets are from Steve at Pinball Resource.

#66 7 years ago

And every coil has the damn WD40 treatment.
Ridiculous.

You saw Motorhead, you are lucky. I was more into Black Flag, Dead Kennedy's, Circle Jerks, etc. Saw it more there..

New spoons, coil sleeves, aprons, and rings on pops make them feel like new. Only 2 on this machine, so I want them sensitive.

Make the slings crazy sensitive too. There's only two of them. Haha

#71 7 years ago

Will do, Eric. I am pressing to get it wrapped up for Louisville show. Gonna be close.

Which LEDs you going with? I think this game has dark enough artwork that you can use a pretty bright bulb without it being harsh on the eyes. Cool white is probably what would look best as opposed to warm as well.

#77 7 years ago

Going with cool white and red. Bought the led adaptors. Love them. Warm white would only be good on a yellowed pf.

#78 7 years ago

Looking good.

Very nice. This is inspiring me to actually start on my Fathom restore. I'd like to some custom stuff to it as well but no clue what I should try!

I agree. Doesn't look dangerous enough.

#94 7 years ago

Appreciate the feedback. I didnt want to go overboard on the spikes. But maybe that's not possible.

it is not possible at this stage.

I prefer a normal spike end metal plunger as it would fit fine with your current theme/style.

A bigger, custom spike would be even cooler.

#96 7 years ago

I will add some spikes to topper today.
Having a tough time locating a switch issue...
Just got my repro echo board from Big Daddy. Glad he makes them, originals are obsolete.

#97 7 years ago

I guess start with the first switch that comes up in diagnostics and trace that switches wire all the way back looking for shorts. Something's gotta be pinched or touching something else somewhere.

#98 7 years ago

I typically play with my knee touching the cabinet/coin door. I don't think I could get away with that on this game.

Do you want one with Spikes on it ? I can make it.

#100 7 years ago

I would also use spikes for the flipper buttons. Why not go all the way out?
This is supposed to be a pain machine !! And you need a leather strap to hold the player close to the cabinet.
