Thanks. I figure this is cheaper than anything Stern will make. I've got about $65 in this topper and an hour of work.
Here is my recollection: The mask was bought on eBay. I then got a styrofoam mannequin head and small block of wood from Hobby Lobby. I used a knife to carve out the eyes about 3/4". The head and wood were painted black. I used three large drywall screws (3-4") through the bottom of the wood block and pushed the styrofoam mannequin head down on to the screws to the wood.
I wired the eyes using two 555 wedge sockets. I wired them in series and used two 6V LEDs in the sockets. I ran the wires to a +12V connector on the power supply board that was open (I think it was a 3 pin connector?).
I drilled a hole in the back of the wood block and ran a bolt through it. On Iron Maiden, I removed a knockout hole on the top of the head and inserted the wood block with the bolt and used a few washers and a nut to attach to the game.
The mask was slid over the mannequin head and I used a pin through the mask into the mannequin head to secure it.
