Wow. Who has this? This belongs in Pinball Hall of Fame.
Yea, I've seen photos of that thing. My wife wouldn't let me keep that sucker in the house if I wanted it.
For what they paid for it originally $4251 + shipping, that was a horrible investment if the plan was to make money on it.
Same people put this back on eBay too: ebay.com link: Operation Desert Storm Pinball Proto type by Data East 1 in the World Works
I wonder if they're in need of some cashflow or if they're just doing some advertising.
Quoted from Av8:This belongs in Pinball Hall of Fame.
100% agree. When I was there not too long ago, I think BSD was being worked so I couldn't play it. Adding this to the PHOF would definitely make me want to go back there.
Quoted from wescor97:I would think that pin would be very difficult to play. BSD is sweet. The coffin, not so much.
Do you think it would be more difficult to play physically or mentally?
Bram stroker himself should buy this.
I could see slash or some celebrity buying this. I'm not too surprised at the price. you try to find that cost in translate and monster.
people would be lined up to play this at shows.
Quoted from Xerico:Do you think it would be more difficult to play physically or mentally?
Physically, I love the game as it is. It just seems like it would be very difficult to nudge that box.
That's an awsome idea!! You'd have thought the people who made it would have been a little bit more creative ragarding the DMD and speaker mounting than just putting the original speaker pannel at the back though... Looks like there's plenty of space for the DMD inside the coffin, and the speakers could have had their own custom made 'tombstone style' boxes at the back...?
The ball launch button could have been better implemented too I'd have thought... maybe a switch linked to the front handle of the coffin...
Excellent idea, but I think is could have been better done...
I wonder if they were inspired by the flyer...
that is probably one of the coolest customs i've ever seen. i remember a pinsider made an old machine into a playable coffee table here without a backbox that looked fun.
This thing is like that Star Wars chair that newbies keep discovering and introducing to the video collectors: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=180014
