I know of a few people who have done it (including myself). Its a fair amount of work but worth it in the end. You need to add switches, source sound clips, add a an amp and speakers. Here's my restoration on Nugent- added sound part at the 3 minute mark

Chuckwebster, love the music added to Nugent! It's a VAST improvement! Now you need to ditch the other silly electronic sounds too. As simple as swapping out .wav files on the NB2. No need for new switches. What kind of amp/speakers did you use?
I'm in the process of doing this on a HGOT and will be starting soon on a FG.

This board looks awesome. If it works as described I'd definitely consider using this is in a few of my games.
