I hate to start a Shite storm, and I've read some of the older posts, but I'm wondering what others think the actual value of a Tron LE is right now. Yes, I've read the argument that getting a pimped out pro is the way to go but thats not what I'm asking here. Is a nice HUO with decent mods really worth $10 - 11K? Is a NIB really worth $12 - $15K?

Just because one person was recorded buying one for $XXXX should that set the market for everyone else going forward? Kinda feels that way to me. I mean, if I get lucky and buy one for $6K would that mean the next one should go for that amount? I don't think so. End the end I guess its just whatever the market will bear but input is welcome.

i wouldnt sell mine for 10-12k. its a keeper and to me, a very special pin. i put it up here with bbb.

#4 8 years ago

As with all commodities it is worth what the market will bear. The market seems to be up right now. Really up.

#5 8 years ago

$45,045 include pinside fee, of course

#6 8 years ago

I wouldn't be surprised to see a HUO one sell for $11K. Hell, that's only $3K over what people are paying for new/unproven games at the moment.

Wish I still had mine... But no regrets, I like to keep things "fresh".

#7 8 years ago

Everyone has their opinion, mine is no way I would pay that for pin. Looking at WOZ and TH that's casino land for me and what are they 8-9k? That if anything would be my max.

I'm not interested in collecting, investment, I'm a player of pins and a rather mediocre player at best. I've opted for Pro's in the past and they work for me.

However it's a free market so go for it.

It's worth 1/3 of a King Kong.

Well NIB is $15k so $12k HUO seems reasonable

#10 8 years ago

Around 6-9 months ago three or four people were trying to sell Huo tron le at the same time. Because there were to many on the market at once the belly dropped. Guys were asking 11k and two or three sold in the 9k-9500 range... Fast forward to now and a nib went for close to $15k.... I would think Huo with some mods is still a $10k-11k game.... But if there's a run on a cash out like before all at the same time be prepared to see a price drop again

Spot on, IMO. If I were to sell mine, I'm thinking I would ask for somewhere in this general area.

Could't agree more.And with mods $13k+...

I don't play my Tron that much anymore. But every time I do, I remember exactly why I keep it around. The game has "IT".

TRON club contract says minimum mark up is 50% over MSRP.

I think the last 2 NIB went for close to $15? Roc-noc's and Saveleaningtower's ?

But let me put it this way - as of right now, TronLE would be the last pin I would get rid of in my collection

Is this based on the fact that someone has one listed for $15K or did someone actually sell one for that?

2 NIB were sold for 15K, so it was reported.

Interesting, I'm fairly new to the hobby and I'm contemplating taking the plunge for an LE so I was honestly asking these questions to see if I was making a mistake or a sound purchase. Its just my luck that as soon as I buy one Stern will announce a Vault edition or something like that.

Ha! Yeah, the vault could happen and soon but it won't take away from the fact you have one of the sweetest LE's ever assembled!!!! Go 4 it!

Well if you're contemplating a 15k machine, you shouldn't be too worried about making a sound purchase. At that point you should be able to lose half the value without sweat. Not saying you wouldn't be bummed, but you could afford it.

That has always been the problem with higher priced games. You never know when the bottom falls out. It was very clear when MMr hit. MM prices took a beating. And when Stern releases the VE, Tron will take the same hit IM did. Yes, I said "when". As prices of Tron Pro have reached Premium levels, eventually they will pop one out.

Anyone want to buy a high priced TRON pro?

Mine went for 15100 but included the nos tron LE playfield I had for it. So figure I sold the game itself for 14,500 ish. I also have a huo tron LE. If I didn't, I wouldn't have sold the other. The game is that good to me.

Well, I wasn't really thinking of buying a NIB for for $15K, I actually want a game I can play, not one that has the possibility of losing thousands of dollars in value once I top the top open.

It's like a new car thang...... Same happens when you buy that new Ferrari

#25 8 years ago

It's a good game alright.

I made the mistake of selling my 1st Tron LE. Ended up buying another a year or 2 later.

#26 8 years ago

Stock HUO $9000. With lots of mods $10k.

One with some mods is sitting at $10250 on our local CL.

#27 8 years ago

Man, $11K is $14,295 CDN today. That's more than a 50% markup from what I paid for mine including all taxes ($7,200 CDN).

It's getting more and more tempting.

And it is really the same boat. If you buy a HUO for $10k, that could drop as well. It is just a question of how far. OR there is also a chance it goes up more. I watched other do it with MM. 7k, are you nuts? Oh, now they are 10. I watched someone buy a routed one (in decent shape) for 12k and thought it was crazy, but they were never actually going to remake them... what was there was the entire supply. Then I saw some 15k ones... and then the remake hit and it tumbled.

So I guess all I am saying is that this market is volatile. Nobody here knows where it will be a year or two from now.

This pro is at TPF right now

Yea quite a few for sale right now, I would guess $9500 range would get them sold.

I just sold a HUO LE with a modest amount of mods and tons of plays for $10k.
