I'd call it more of an exploit than a cheat, but either way it slows down tournament play, which is boring. 
With that said: For me, outside of tournament play, TAF just wouldn't feel like TAF without The Power. Nothing like having it grab a kickout and throw it down an outlane to start multiball! It's not a hard game, but it sure loves to screw ya.
