Good topic BRONX. I just want to catch up with the little stuff I haven’t had time to do recently. I just repaired Wild Card, Capt Fantastic, and Super Star. Still working on Black Jack. I still have a couple games in the storage room awaiting restoration. Looks like Pimp made stencils for Strange World and Wade is in pre-production on the playfields, so that will probably be the next restoration project.

Says manufacturer is Gottlieb. It's actually Playmec. Very similar components to Gottlieb though.

    #24 2 years ago

    2001
    Volley
    Atlantis
    Sky Jump
    Sing Along

...and Family Guy when looking for a change of pace.

Good catch, I didn't notice that. They don't even have Playmec as an option in their database.

    #26 2 years ago

Mmm...some good ones on here. I'm gonna dream big:

    1) Gottlieb Gemini (stop laughing) - played one once - loved the shots and art
    2) Strange World - going backwards: getting a Wade Kraus pf first, then hoping one day to find a machine - oh that artwork!
    3) Space Walk (you're laughing again) - never even seen one, but I loves me some drop targets.
    4) Rock Star - again, never seen one
    5) Pyramid - played a few Cleopatras, but never seen this EM in the wild.

I'd throw Captain Card or Volley in there too 'cause, you know....drop targets!

I know I don't actually have enough money to complete this list, assuming I could even find some of these, but I can dream!

    #27 2 years ago

    GTB Gemini (agree with above)
    Wms Magic Town
    Wms Vagabond
    Wms Big Ben (1954)
    Wms Nine Sisters

    #28 2 years ago

I don't own, but do have access to a "Magic City" nearby....lots of fun! Frustrating when we play it in league!

    For me:
    1. Space Walk (I agree with dreaming big)
    2. High Hand (had one, sold it, miss it)
    3. Snow Derby (have a Bristol Hills but prefer replays)
    4. Pioneer (love the art)

I have a real nice El Dorado for sale

The gall to ask 5 Grand and have a kid’s bicycle propped up against it in a garage.

Damn...is it wrong that I want it - even with the bike leaning on it? That backglass looks pretty nice. If I were single, I'd probably make an offer....but my wife would kill me! I think the last one I saw for sale was several years ago, and the guy was asking 7K.....I don't know if he got that, but he was asking.

The backglass on this title might be the prettiest ever done IMO.

I love the Strange World bg too!

I’ve gotten down to a short list to complete the collection I have in mind, don’t know if I’ll ever score them all:

    Sonic Mars Trek
    Williams Rancho
    Williams Argosy
    Williams 8 Ball
    Williams Strike Zone

I'd love to find a Gottlieb "Rancho". The export version with a bull in the backbox instead of a bucking horse. Same a "Cow-Poke" but different backglass and backbox animation scene. I just like that variation. It has a cabinet like "North Star".

So let me complete my list with four more EM games:
    Williams "Regatta"
    Williams "Serenade"
    Williams "Four Corners" woodrail
    Bally "Wild Wheels"

Actually, the Rancho I’d like is Williams, the last pin designed by Harry Williams. (I’ve edited my post to clarify.) I don't think I’ve heard of Gottlieb Rancho.

I went to take a look at gottlieb jacks open today, score motor was just spinning, playfield, bg was nice, but this pinball hasent been played in 20years! Yikes!!! I noticed ball count unit coil was ceased, I could barely move it!!! What am I in for if I purchase it? What would you guys want n the almighty U S A pay for jacks open in this situation? A good half decent jacks open goes for about $2000 Canadian here!

    #43 2 years ago

Scared to participate. In the past I would post machines I would like to have and then the next week they would go up 200-500 in value.
It would be easier to list the ones I don't want.
    95% of Gottliebs.
    80% of Williams.
    90% of Ballys.
100% of Spanish machines with oatmeal cabinets.
0% of Stern ( would like to own a Stern EM even if its bad)
So next week Stern EMs will double in value.

    Surfer
    Big brave
    Jungle princess
    Volley
    El dorado

Came across a very nice Out of Sight in the Dallas area if anybody in jonsin for one

    #48 2 years ago

I've never played an Out of Sight. Played the Visual Pinball X version, and I enjoyed it alot, so that usually means I'd like the real machine even more! Gotta love that trippy Morison artwork.

    #49 2 years ago

My list fairly short… only EM I would probably buy is a nicer Little Joe that’s close to Ohio. I love that damn game and the one I have is a little beat up.

Am I shooting too high with my volley?

One of the cleanest EMs I've owned
