Trying to solve a quirky light problem on a CBW. I think I know how it should operate, and will try to explain.
The game has two 7-bank drop targets representing solids and stripes in the top right and left of the playfield. Those targets have a light system on top of them with an individual light for each representative ball. When you knock down the targets on the solid balls side (left) the ball stays lit to let you know it has been hit. When all are dropped it resents and starts flashing and running it's patterns again. The stripes (right side) does not hold the lamp solid on when you drop a target. Strange part is, that in attract mode every bulb works perfectly on both sides. Under test, each bulb again lights just fine. The game is scoring perfectly and resetting the drop targets perfectly as well. It's only the lights that function differently on each side.
I just replaced the driver board with a new Rottendog board to fix a different problem and had hoped I would get lucky and this would disappear. Of course, it never seems to work that way does it .
Can anyone confirm that the function I am looking for is indeed correct? And of course any ideas where to look next.
