Let share information and resources for this rare baffle ball type head to head game.

I just picked up a project Cuba Libre pinball and It is mostly complete, but missing the topper, battery charger, balls and the legs. I am looking forward to fixing it up. I also have so many questions.

I found some rusted balls in the game and won’t dare play them because they will destroy the platters. The pinballs are 7/8” - Can somebody advise if that is the correct size?

What are the size of the legs? I think 26-28” legs would work nicely, but what is stock? Does anybody know the original source for the legs?

Can somebody please scan the manual and send me a copy?

If anybody has topper parts they want to sell, please let me know.

Are there any other 2 player baffle ball games similar to this one?

Is there any strategy that works best or is it just plunge away?

Has anybody modded theirs? This game seems ripe for some interesting lighting and sound mods.

What a cool score! How the hell did you come across such an odd and rare game?

I have always wanted a Cuba Libre after reading about it on pinball news. Just waited long enough and found a project game on EBay. There is a very sad COVID-19 story story attached to this game...

It was found by a gentleman that does Ebay resale that succumbed to COVID-19. He contracted the disease doing what he loved best - going to live auctions. 6’4” older and 65+ old, but in perfect shape with no underlying conditions. His wife runs the ER at the local hospital, but she did not bring the virus home. They used social tracing to find the source of transmission. The hospital staff and best Doctors did everything they could to try and save the man, including plasma treatments, but his immune response to the virus was so strong that it still killed him. They say he died because of his physical size and that he was in such good health causing an immune response that was too high. Horrible way to die on a ventilator. It is really unexpected and sad for his family.

I was dealing with a wonderful, smart daughter that was handling the estate and still recovering from her loss. She wanted me to understand how this virus could affect even healthy people and to step up my social distancing.
