Quoted from Baiter:

You bring your Bored Ape into the sandbox and it brings with you cred that may allow you into private gatherings that normies have no access to, or at least get discounts because that's how it works IRL. Not everyone will care, just as not everyone belongs to a local country club, but growth in the direction of DAOs, NFT memberships, and metaverse brands will be beyond most people's expectations.

The local country club has a real golf course to play on, real tennis courts, pools and other amenities, along with real food and beverages to consume while enjoying the in-person company of other club members.

Only way this new virtual stuff succeeds is if it offers some kind of real benefit. Making an exclusive virtual club just for the sake of charging newcomers to join... sounds like beanie babies part 2. Lotta money thrown at FOMO with not much underlying value.

But please, keep buying this stuff... every dollar going into crypto is one less dollar chasing (and inflating prices) on pinball and other things I care about.

Penny is mostly zinc. Keep old coils in the jar if you want to hoard copper.

https://www.techrepublic.com/article/pentagon-finds-concerning-vulnerabilities-on-blockchain/

Old article (6/28), not sure if mentioned here yet...

"Trail of Bits says that it only takes four entities to disrupt Bitcoin and only two to disrupt Ethereum. Additionally, 60% of all Bitcoin traffic moves through just three ISPs. Outdated and unencrypted software and blockchain protocols were also identified by the organization."

That doesn't sound very decentralized.

Quoted from Pdxmonkey:

Word of caution… be extra vigilant on inspecting the wallet packaging. It is highly recommended to order hardware wallets direct from the manufacturers. As third party sellers can booby trap wallets and reseal them, it’s very rare but worth noting imo
