I have a pair of linked Cruis’n USA cabinets and would be interested in the topper if bk doesn’t want it

Got a picture of it?

Ok very cool thanks

Long shot but I’m having serious power supply issues for my Pump It Up dance game. I need a new one. You have one to sell me? It’s not your average power supply it seems.

Quoted from LTG:

Looks like a switching power supply without the +5. I'd use that and just hook up what you need. AC, FG, Ground, +12. Don't use the +5.
LTG : )

Thank you for your help!

Can you explain what the hell an amp is? This power supply says 12V12A

Well all the power supplies I find say things like 12V2A or 12V4A

Is that a problem with the amp disparity?

Quoted from bkfiv:

Here is what mine looks like. I only actually need the neon part that comes off from the back. Fyi my smaller marquees are ordered & should be in this week.

Very cool. You asked first so it’s yours to turn down from jpinb

I’ll bet shipping might be an issue but I’m willing to find out. How does the topper install on top of the cabinets?

Here are my cabinets. The last picture is a cute one of my seven year old using her left foot to press the gas pedal down for her two year old sister.

Quoted from LTG:

Big problem. Current is measured in amps. Your game needs 12 amps and would burn up a 2 or 4 amp one drawing too much current.
Sorry.
LTG : )

I thought so! No one I’ve asked has even addressed my concerns over the disparity in amps

I found this power supply. It arrives tomorrow. Would it work?

eTopxizu 12v 30a Dc Universal Regulated Switching Power Supply 360w for CCTV, Radio, Computer Project https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D7CWSCG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_rF2zAb9N4PBJ6

It seems to be rated for a higher amperage (
I think that’s a word)

Also this is on the back of the machine if that helps as well as some quotes on what a few owners have said:

“https://ia800606.us.archive.org/6/items/pumpitupgx/PumpItUpGX.pdf The electric scheme if I read it correctly shows that transformer is BEFORE the power supply so it should be set to 220”

“Also found this warning for man pump it up cabs: NOTE: In most cabinets, the AC power wires in the cabinet are carrying ~230V regardless of the wall voltage. In 100-120V regions, they installed a 1:2 step-up transformer near the power cord socket, doubling the wall voltage which is then used throughout the cab. Pay careful attention to the 110/230 switch on power supplies of newer computers as you can easily fry them by forgetting about the voltage difference after having it on the bench.”

I’m sorry I’ve hijacked this thread with power supply issues guys

#16 6 years ago
Quoted from bkfiv:

Hey free bumps. All I ask is if you hear anything about a Cruis'n topper, you pass it on!
Grinder, mine has a bracket on top. Just 4 bolts, two on each machine, to secure the topper. I will take pics tonight (if I remember) & show it to you.

Thank you. Hmmm I think I might have brackets (do they look like handles?) on mine

Quoted from LTG:

Yes, higher works. Game won't need that much, but it will work.
LTG : )

Thanks Lloyd. I fried the first power supply I tried to swap in there almost as soon as the game was turned on.

Finding the exact power supply seems impossible. I’m hopeful that larger one will do the trick

Thank you. I think the brackets attach to these holes here?

LTG, I sent you a PM
