The coin door on my Bally Flip Flop has 2 slots, a right and a left. Both indicate 2 plays one quarter. Only the slot on the right (closest to key) can add credits as only that switch has the wire that activates when a quarter hits it. The manual and schematic specify a colored lead plug to insert into the cabinet block. The only colored lead plugs I see are for the 3rd coin chute which has option of 1 to 6 credits per coin (apparently the right coin slot is the 3rd coin chute). So I plug the lead into the #2 hole for 2 credits per quarter. But when I deposit a quarter or manually trip the coin switch (wire) no credits are added. When I manually add a credit directly to the Credit unit in the Backbox, pressing the Start button still does nothing. Switches on coin door check out okay. Just not sure where I should be placing the colored lead plus. I appreciate any direction.

Do you have a 2nd Coin Chute relay or a 3rd Coin Chute relay?
Does either activate when you do this?

Hi, I have a 2nd Coin Chute relay which activates when I trip the coin switch wire, but that's all it does. No credit is added to credit wheel and none of the other switches activate. I set the lead plugs on the coin chute adjustment board for 2 plays per quarter according to the game manual specifications. As follows:
W-B/white-black lead wire into position#2 in the 2nd coin chute slot, and the O-W/orange -white lead into the #2 slot of the 3rd coin chute slot. Images below.

I was going to jump from the White switch wire on the coin door switch (with the coin trip wire) to the Credit Unit Zero switch (White-Orange) on the credit unit in the Backbox. Would that do anything?

From where to where would you suggest I start jumping?

Update. I jumped SCM 11A (BR) to 2nd Coin Chute relay switch (BR). I tripped the wire on the coin door micro switch and 1 credit was added to credit wheel.
I set the adjustment plugs for 2 credits per quarter according tho the manual but it still only shows one credit. I powered off the game, remove the jumper wires, turned the game back on and pressed Start/Credit button. Nothing happened.

Should I have pressed Start button while jumpers were still attached? Where can I run a jumper from the Start button switch? Two wires on start switch: BLU-Orange, and White-Orange. Should I jump one of those switches to somewhere? Thanks!

UPDATE: I can now manually trip the CREDIT relay and the game will reset. So it appears there is a bad connection between the START BUTTON and the CREDIT relay. Also, neither the Player light nor the Ball in play light comes on in the Backbox.

Cleaning and adjusting several switches within the circuit finally got the START Button to reset the game. However, the credits on the credit wheel still remain on the backglass (not decremented) and the Ball in play does not light up on the Backglass. Also, I set the Coin Chute adjustment plugs to give 2 credits per quarter following the game manual instructions. However a quarter only adds 1 credit to the credit wheel. Any ideas what may be the cause? Thanks again for your help. We've been making great progress!

You have multiple problems. My suggestions are 1) print a copy of the schematic and highlight your score motor switches. Carefully, with a flash light, check them all. Make sure the normally open are open and the normally closed are closed. Do not adjust. Only adjust if something is off what the schematic indicates. 2) Read this: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/em-schematic-fully-described-from-beginning-to-end-bally-bon-voyage 3) check your credit wheel switches and coils to make sure someone didn't tamper with switch blades or step up / down solenoids to make it free play.

If ball in play and credit are still not cycling, then the game is not actually starting properly.
