The display on my HG that is supposed to show the credits and ball in play is all zeros. I swapped it with the player 4 display and am getting the same results. I put the game in test mode and it doesn't count up numbers like the other displays, just stays at zero. I did a little searching and found a thread where a guy had a similar problem and they told him to look at I think it was J1 on the MPU board. He jiggled his around and got it to work but I had reset the mpu connectors the other day but it didn't change anything. Should I change out the crimp contacts on the connector for the display next?

Quench, you never fail to impress. I replaced all of the crimps on J1 a couple weeks ago but the header pins still need to be replaced so I thought that could be part of the problem. At first I thought this J1 was a 25 pin connector because someone wrote on the board with a sharpie marker over the pin numbers so I had checked the 2nd from bottom thinking it was 24 and it looked good. I replaced crimp 15 on the display, same thing. I went back to J1, realized it was a 28 pin connector, pulled the real pin 24 contact and sure enough the springed contact got smashed somehow. I replaced it and my display was showing the right info instead of zeros!
