Creature: poor trough kick?

Hi all -

I just put my creature back together and before I dig into the fuses and everything, I wanted to ask this question:

when I started it back up I tried to play a game, but the machine wasn't kicking my balls into the trough properly. It tries to give a tiny little kick, but the balls barely move. My hologram motors also went out. I checked the fuses (though not with an MM) and visually they seem fine.

Before I go on a wild goose chase, I wanted to ask if anyone had a similar issue, or any ideas what I should look at? Thanks!

I meant to add to my post (duh) - the flippers are what started all this... there's almost no power in them at all, and this particular machine used to have WAY too powerful flips.. I just don't get what's going on. I havent' added any mods, done nothing except basically clean the thing

Sounds like it could be a bridge rectifier on the power driver board going bad. There are a few articles on how to test those with a multimeter. I would start here though.

Thanks, I'm looking at it now. Nothing's obviously burned out or anything. I may try replacing all the fuses first. This is really strange.

Measure DC voltage relative to ground on the coils in question and post that info here.

Will do!

Folks... I couldn't believe it, but it turned out to be a fuse! It looks like the fuse set had been in there a LOOONG time. And many of them were incorrect... the machine is working beautifully now. Thanks for the suggestions - I ordered a couple of bridge rectifiers as I have 3 WPC89 machines.. it's only a matter of time!
