I would like one. Please PM me when price is known and you're taking orders. Thanks.

Quoted from swinks:

The el-wire will be on all the time as it is a cool lighting effect and if flashing would be a visual eye sore.

I totally agree that the el-wire should be lit all the time.

Quoted from swinks:

Here is the plastic with "OPEN" all in caps.

I do like the word OPEN in all capital letters much better.

Quoted from swinks:

I am thinking of shortening the middle neon tube to stop before the word OPEN to make it a little clearer.

Also a good idea that will improve legibility. All this fine tuning will yield a great mod result.
What number am I on the list?

White EL wire with red dome works best for me.

Quoted from swinks:

I will do them in runs of 20.

An excellent idea (says the guy who was previously told he was number 17 in line).

Just remember you told me I was number 17 on the list, 'cause I really want to be in the first group!

One of the first units "tested" was on my CFTBL, which has too many mods on it and kept blowing the 3amp fuse for the 12V circuit. I had a 12-volt source run from the incoming 110V and moved a couple of the mods over to run off of it and no problems since. The revised design looks like it will allow people to change EL-wire colors easier (which I have no intention of doing). Swinks snackbar mod is very cool!

Quoted from netminda:

I am having the same issues with the 12v overload on my CFTBL. Could you share some details on how you had the additional 12v source run?

I paid a very good service guy (and it wasn't cheap) to install a power source with various contacts (including for 12-volt/4-amps) that he wired off of the incoming 120V in the front right hand side of the lower cabinet. The mods taken off the machine were wired to the 12V and ground screw terminals on the module. I read here on Pinside that MikeD is working on a similar kit to sell for people to add a 12-volt power supply to their own games.
