Creating webbing using a Weiler brush - how heavy do I go?

Although some games have conspicuously dense, dark, gloppy webbing, it’s a look you generally want to avoid.

On my Jumping Jack, the factory webbing appears to be adulterated somewhat—as if it there was more clear lacquer than black pigmentation—which mitigated the heaviness of the webbing. You can duplicate this effect by lightly misting over your webbing with whatever rattle can paint was used for the base.
