Alright kids, this deal is complicated, so pay attention:

    1. Right now IN STORE ONLY, Micro Center has the Creality Ender 3 Pro 3D Printer on sale for $200.
    2. New customers can get a $100 off coupon TEXTED to them on the 3 Pro at this link (use a new email and phone number if you are already a MC customer) https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/specialoffer3dprinter.aspx
    3. No shipping, obviously MC wants to get new customers into their actual stores (masks required chainwide)

This is a favorite 3D printer by many. You can get lots of aftermarket accessories like $59 laser engraver heads for it. Kids will have 10 of these things running simultaneously manufacturing gun parts for schoolmates. 8.6 x 8.6x 9.8" printing area.

4.5 stars with 1600 reviews on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Official-Creality-3D-Removable-220x220x250MM/dp/B07K3SZBHJ

Good luck getting your friends to pick up a few extra for you!

    Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:

Ugh. No stores close to me.

Yeah it's sad, MC is the last national computer chain standing.

If you know anyone in these states that can pick a few up for you:

    Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

Never played with a 3D printer. If I got this what are the possibilities? How do you use these things? Need to create your own sculpts with what program or do you just download files from somewhere? Sorry for the total newb questions.

You can download many printable pinball parts, for instance:

    https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=pinball&type=things&sort=relevant

Or you can draw your own

    Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

What resin or material do you get to make these 3D sculpts?

You can get any color 1.75mm filament to use as is

You can of course modify the unit to use other size filaments

    Quoted from Ecw0930:

i signed up but they didn't send me a coupon. Just a HELLO subscription email.

    They text it to you.

So if you gave a fake phone #, you'll have to do it again with a new email address.

    Quoted from vid1900:

    2. New customers can get a $100 off coupon TEXTED to them

    Quoted from Kevin_LHeureux:

vid1900 You're a great guy but please consider removing your tactless sentence in your post above about kids, guns and school. Really no place for that here.

I'm a terrible guy, but you might want to watch the video of the kids using a dozen of these machines to make their custom nerf guns in school

Dammit I should know better than to open these damn Vid threads.

I keep telling people to put me on ignore

    #31 2 years ago
    Quoted from Ecw0930:

the micro site says it's $199. And then an additional $100 off? is that correct? Or is the $199 with the $100 off already?
Your amazon link has it at $200 with a savings of $137 already.
Guess i'll call the store as it's not far from me here in VA.

I told you guys in the first post it was complicated and to pay attention.

Its on sale for $199 in store, then you get an additional $100 off with the unique code you are texted.

So your net price is $100, plus any applicable taxes......

You'd have a heart attack if you ever built a home CNC kit

The one my buddy got at a chain woodworking store, you had to tap your own threads.

I lent him my tap kit, but I was wondering how many US residents have a set of metric taps?

The "bonus" spindle did not come with any hi-flex cable, or termination rings. I gave him a length of cable I had left over from my Mech-mate.

I could see this being a disaster for someone of limited mechanical skills....

    Crazy for $2900

    Quoted from Frax:

The kit I got is apparently intended for the set screw type. What I found online was that you can remove the press fitting, but it's a lot easier to just buy a new stepper motor without a press fit gear already on it and use that.

Can't you just use the gear/bearing puller from your bike cycle?

Or just Dremel the plastic gear down one side so it splits off?

    #54 2 years ago

Even if it s brass, put the thin cut off wheel in the Dremel, and cut between the splines, in a straight line

Or if you have a nut splitter, put a 1/4" ratchet on it, it will pop right off

    #56 2 years ago

Slide the new gear onto the shaft, and just gently tighten the set screw to give you your mark

Use a file, or Dremel and make yourself a flat spot on the shaft, just larger than the setscrew

Use 1/10 of a drop of blue loctite on a toothpick to lock it in place

You kinda picture a bunch of well dressed Japanese businessmen yelling "Bukkake!!!"

    Quoted from NightTrain:

You’re one sick bastard Vid! Lol!

The trains are like a Japanese "people of walmart" at night

In NYC people would pee on them, but in Japan, people just politely look away from the drunken "salarymen"
