Of course it was flagged immediately. I grabbed a snapshot before it went away. Either this is a joke, or this old couple really didn't know what they had.

+1 It has SCAM written all over it.

#7 12 years ago

Yea that whole writeup is just trying to hard... even without the pic, scam.

#8 12 years ago

I am sure two elderly people played TZ long enough and competently enough to get to the powerball. I'm gonna offer them double and get over there right now!

#11 12 years ago

See, I dont see these as a scam. I see these kind of ads as bored collectors.

#12 12 years ago

and.. it's back (I did email them the first time just because, never got a response of course)

This is a yearly prank in Michigan - one of the reasons I don't even check there anymore.

#15 12 years ago

Fake, very obvious the person that wrote the ad is trying to make it sound like the sellers "old couple" are pretty much ignorant when it comes to pins, the person that wrote the ad did a very bad job of it.

#16 12 years ago

What is the point of making a fake cl ad...i don't get it.

how do you know?

then why wasn't I contacted if I emailed them almost immediately (if they claimed they had 10 offers), and why did they chose to use a stock photo from wikipedia that just happened to have both the machines they claimed they had? If it was real, I too want to know how you know it was real.

People like to f with other pinballers. They do these things all the time, and know how to make them more genuine each time (not that a $500 TZ is that).

It is always worth throwing your response in, just in case, as I have landed deals of this nature, but 19 out of 20 times they are fakes.

This Post Is Pointless Without Pictures.

You are insinuating that you scored big and were able to get this... If so, make with the pics.

#24 12 years ago

Could be real. Lots of people have pinball machines and when you ask them which one, they don't know. Big house with machines that havent been turned on in years.

#25 12 years ago

You know what they say when something is too good to be true. No way thats real. Even those that dont know anything about pinball know a machine like that is worth a lot more then 500 dollars.

Yep. I can confirm that. What a bummer that it is all so common

There's no way that wasn't a hoax.
