I don't think the Craftsman ones that Lowe's is selling are hollow shaft at least not from the description of the same set listed at Ace.

    Quoted from vid1900:

They appear to have a sandblasted, hollow interior.[quoted image]

I bought a set and they aren't hollow very far up the shaft, I haven't measured it yet so maybe it's sufficient for any posts on a game.

    Quoted from plasticbugs:

Pinsiders in here spending $1000 on a topper and $11 on a set of low quality nut drivers. Get a set of Wera tools. They’re truly hollow and are worth every penny.

I don't buy toppers much less $1K ones but I do have a toolbox full of Snap-On tools, for as little as I use them anymore the topper may actually make more sense financially.

I almost always use my 1/4" drive ratchet / socket (standard and deep) set for everything instead of nutdrivers but I bought these for anytime I may just need to do something quick. Hard to go wrong for $11 bucks and they are pretty well made.

    Quoted from goingincirclez:

Ratchets can be handy above the playfield, but are a major PITA below. From threading them trough the mess of obstructions, to banging the ratchet into nearby mechs, they can be pretty aggravating. Whereas a nutdriver just pokes right through and spins the nut without hitting anything. So long as some gorilla before you didn't overtighten whatever to make you need the ratchet handle torque anyway....
....and even if that happens, these Craftsman drivers have hex-shaped handles, so you can grab them with a wrench or pliers for extra leverage.

Yeah, the set I have includes a nut-driver handle so I use that a lot instead of the ratchet. Both tools have their pluses and minuses, for instance using the nutdriver handle I can easily adjust the length of the shaft by adding or removing extensions.
