Today's Sears email has 3 things you guys might want, cheap.

    Solder Gun $9.99.

You use these for big solder jobs when you need more heat than a pencil can supply, like the Ground Plane on Williams circuit boards, or soldering to the back of volume pots inside the coin door.

Sears also has 30W soldering pencil for $2.99

Good for a backup in your tool box.

    ....and a 45W pencil for $3.99

Again, maybe a spare for your other box, or one to use for burning holes in plastic and not contaminating your good tips.

I have wearing out Sears lately. Get in their "club" and they give you free points all the time. Stuff like $8 off a $8 purchase. I probably have $100 of free tools from their points. You just can't beat it.
Order online and they send you a ready for pickup text and email. Go to the pickup area and in literally a minute they bring your stuff out.

Just got the 45 watt iron for free.

Website says the gun "allows you to deliver power to a number of burnt-out applications."

Although my old soldering gun that's been with me for many years
still had/has a pulse, a little while back I ordered two of the Craftsmans
that I've already used quite a bit, and for the price, I'd have to say
there wouldn't be anyone that would have any complaints..
My old one has always been warm for me, but now will remain on an
    upper shelf..

Yes, and in a short time. Bought it for $5.00 back in the 90s..
