I know insert issues have been mentioned extensively in playfield topics in the past, but I ask about mine because I haven't seen anything quite the same as these inserts in those playfield issue/restoration topics. I have a MGOW playfield that has a few inserts that look like the attached pictures. I assume this is the original lacquer finish separating? Kind of a "cracked" look, but not shrinking or a discolored "bubble" like I've seen in other insert threads.

If so, is pulling out/sanding/decaling the insert the only fix?
