After reading this thread I do have some extra hope. I've been watching CPR's site for.....erm....some time, in the hope there would be a Flash Gordon. (I think there may have already been one in the past, but I must have bought my machine after they were all long gone). Having now read here that they may be close to being able to do smaller runs, even though they won't be screen printed, I am a bit more optimistic about being able to upgrade my trashed playfield. Silk screened would be wonderful, but honestly, crayon would almost be better than bare wood, so the digital option that actually allows me to see a playfield will be a considerable improvement.

That one looks amazing. It would be nice to think you'll be able to offer much more frequent lower runs of games in the future. Since once you have the artwork prepped, sized and coloured correctly and saved for electronic printing, presumably lower number runs won't be an issue. Only forty dollars price difference between screen print and digital is probably not going to help the popularity of digital, but at least there will be something to buy if you're not going to be offering screen printing for a title in low numbers.
