    Quoted from Stu:

Nope, Nobody PM'd me asking for compensation, In fact nobody PM'd me about any of the stuff I was looking for, the Greed is elsewhere.

I'm confused. Were you referring to some of your other playfield request threads? Or did you list some other playfields in the OP of this thread?

[edit]: nevermind, another poster mentioned there was a long list in the OP of this thread originally. But the original post was only up about 2 hours

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

One of the reasons is because people keep asking the same old questions over and over and over and over...........

But it's not always the same people over and over. The hobby keeps finding new people and they get excited about getting new replacements for their old worn out stuff.

    Quoted from jayhawkai:

Simple solution: don't tell them about it.

Then comes the lawsuits when they find out about it.

I think a lot of engineers can relate to what Stu just went through. How many projects have we worked on where we were ready to spike the ball in the end zone, and our boss came in and said: "Sorry, project's cancelled." Of course, we did get paid for all of our unused work. It still sucks though.

Yep, happened to me more than once. I was obviously a bit miffed about spending dozens or hundreds of hours on a project only to be rendered uncessesary because of changing needs or a better solution coming out before the completion of the project.

    Quoted from mcluvin:

Has anyone tried creating 3-D printed inserts? Seems that might solve some problems if it were doable.

Transparent/translucent object aren't quite there yet.

    Quoted from 2RustyBalls:

I'm glad CPR has basically called it quits. Those B/W rights are worthless unless you find someone willing to run the parts for a profit. Talk to anyone that makes parts and they'll tell you about how Rick has his hand out wanting paid, just like Gene did. Gene claimed he held the rights to the pinball. LOL!

I think you're misreading things here...

CPR hit the *pause* button on production in order to figure out how to proceed now that the art screens have been uncovered. These art screens would change the way playfields would be produced. Instead of scanning and re-drawing and re-coloring the artwork, the idea is that they can skip those steps and instead use the original screens to go directly to printing.
