How have you dealt with the winged/flanged wire metal ball guides? Afraid it will crack the clear. I have the Kruzman Dremel bit kit, but I don't want to score where they go in because it will show. Thinking of grinding them off. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I'll try it in one of the fews pots under a plastic. And I had planned to drill the holes to the proper size.

I ended up using one of the bits in Ron Kruzman's clear install kit. I used this super pointy one and barely touched the clear. The guides went in easily and didn't crack the clear. I also used a variety of his other bits on all of the holes to prevent the clear from cracking. I highly recommend getting his kit.
