The wife and I took the 6 hour drive to CP Pinball on Saturday. What a blast! I wish they were closer. We got there 6:30ish and played til nearly midnight. Very friendly guys working. One of them (Chuck???) asked us if it was our first time there. I said yes and he mentioned that they were fairly busy on that night and last weekend they had less than half the people there. I said that we never had a problem playing anything we wanted. We wanted to play TAF, but someone was camped out there so we moved on and next time we looked it was open. We did miss TOM somehow, it was in line with AFM, MM, and SS. My wife's favorite was TOTAN. I finally started liking TZ. This was the second time playing it, not sure why I never realized the gumball drop would drop the ball on the upper flipper so I always got annoyed when it dropped it SDTM but once I started hitting it with the upper flipper, I was hooked (I want one). All the games were in great shape. I noticed that they were repairing Hulk a bit more than I would have expected, but I played it before and had no interest in playing it again. My wife got a few balls stuck, but staff was quick to remedy the situation.

We ate at King Louies Drive-in before making it over to CP. Good food, great Root Beer.

Now I need to find somewhere cheap to spend the night so that we can make the trip more often

Two big thumbs up for CP Pinball. Now they just need to open a location near Milwaukee.

Definitely need to go there. Nice review.

Chuck hooked me up with an old Wild Fyre that my roommate wanted to get for his dad as a birthday present last year. He ended up finding one for FREE! He then fixed the few issues it had & slapped in a brand new driver board in it and charged me pretty much cost on everything! Class act! +100 in my book!

    A great place for sure!

Did you happen to notice if he setup that Hulk topper I gave him yet?

I was there last weekend and a little excited that he has a Black Hole now. Though it kicked my ass without mercy.

Hulk was down for about 30 minutes for the new code upload and to make a few minor adjustments. MM, ACDC, AFM, HULK and TZ are the top 5 most requested pins when patrons walk in the door followed by TAF, XMEN and FH.

Big Daddy topper will be installed next week

Chuck hooked me up with a DE SW game. It's been holding up great since I got it. Was driving to work the other day when I heard a radio commercial for CP Pinball. That's a first. Need to make it out there soon to check out the new games.

    Great place and good people!

    Not College Place, WA? Dang!

I dont care where you live

    Go to CP

Its not just some place with a bunch of machines, its the M'r F'n mecca!

PHOF, Expo... been there, prefer CP. I would imagine PAPA is the only place to rival CP but they are almost never open.

I walk in to CP unable to hold back my smile. A few red bulls later I tilt a machine & look to my left/right... ahh coast is clear so I hit start again, order a pizza, request my songs on the juke, get my arcade fix & chat or game it up with the regulars.

You are an idiot for not going , SWA has cheap direct flights to STL from like everywhere.

PS if someone camps out at the AF just go play one of the other AF's he has. If someone camps out at another game that he only has one of just ask for "next".

I couldn't have put it better myself! I try to go there at least once a month, and anyone I take with me has to pry me away from the place around closing time. Chuck, and all the other staff, couldn't be nicer. I want you all to go and spend your money so that little piece of Heaven on Earth can stay around!

I wish we had something like that nearby.

What is CP Pinball and where is it? Sounds like a place I want to visit.

I did not see a topper on Hulk. I'm really not a fan of Hulk. I did enjoy Xmen LE tho, everyone on here seems to give it a bad rap but I really enjoyed it. That Magneto multiball is awesome. I briefly played AC\DC and was not terribly impressed although I probably did not give it enough of a chance. Of the newer Stern titles, Xmen was by far the best.

CP Pinball as defined by Webster.... Awesome!!!

80+ games, $15 from 6pm to 12 all games on Free Play. All games in great shape. Check out his website http://www.cppinball.com/ for hours. Note he is only open 2 weekends a month.

CP pinball is an awesome place! Chuck is a great guy for keeping it open. He is always willing to help or give advice. And... Where else can you go and get to play almost the whole top 100 list in one place!

double bump! It is my once a month fix unless the wife approves... Chuck and Mike are awesome there! I heard the commercial one the radio a couple of weeks ago as I was heading home from CP's. Yea we have it good here...

I am looking forward to my first trip there !

Just have to add my praise for CP Pinball to the chorus. I moved from Chicago to St.Louis in 2005 and thought I'd be starving for pinball. A few months after I got to STL, Chuck decided to open CP about 10 minutes from my house and its been Pinball nirvana ever since. If you are still on the fence about making a trip, just do it already!

I was there the weekend before with only half the people. Look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

    #23 8 years ago

I'm about 40 min away. I'll be making a trip soon for sure.

    #24 8 years ago

CP's is amazing and Chuck is doing a great thing for our hobby with this slice of pinball heaven.
I try my darndest to get there every month.
I visited the PHOF when I was in Vegas last year, but if forced to choose between the two, I would choose CPs. Chuck's machines are in much better shape (no comparison) and very few if any are down.

Everyone involved with CP Pinball is awesome!

If you can get there and love pinball, you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not go!

Pinballz in Austin, Texas seems pretty darn impressive in terms of pinball:

    Agreed. Mr. Starfighter included.

I call Chuck(les) the "hardest workin' man in pinball". Whether he is or isn't, he puts a ton of time into the arcade to keep the games nice and playing well. Three cheers for Chuck, and Mike, and Earl, and all the folks who come out to make CP Pinball what it is!

Can't agree more with all the great reviews. Live in Ga, but born in MO, and all my extended family lives in the St. Louis area. I just found out about CP Pinball from Pinside and went there in January while I was up visiting family. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but was still busy on a Friday night. Everyone was super cool, and the only two games I couldn't get play time on were AC/DC and MB. (maybe because they were right next to each other?) I'll be planning family visits around CP's open weekends from now on out. Just wish I'd found out about it sooner, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than spending time in the casinos.

I want to say it was something like 62.5 or close to that. I usually don't listen to the radio and was just flipping stations when I heard it. Sounded really good. Very polished.
