I finally got my first wedgehead Cow Poke shopped out. I was afraid it was going to be a really hard game to play but it is actually really fun. The Roto target does make it hard to get the ball back to the top but it adds to the challenge.

This game is a keeper for sure. The art and even the sounds is intoxicating. The bells, the Roto target spinning, the animation mechanism, the knocker all come together to produce a symphony of mechanical sounds like no other EM I have ever played.

Quoted from Stoomer:I agree...one of the things some of the AAB GTBs have going for them is the reset sequence...Cowpoke has this, but even better is Diamond Jack, cause it's a longer reset bank and therefore louder/more machine shaking. So in addition to the sounds/feel you spoke of, the have an added satisfying and unique sound/feeling when you get that last card/number and the free ball knock(s) followed by that KER-CHUNK of the relay bank resetting.
Since DJ also has all the lights all over the PF that come on, there's also an accompanying light show. Pure joy...

I guess that’s why new games have shaker motors to simulate the mechanical feedback that mechanical games possess. I guess that’s how Tommy played since he was deaf dumb and blind, not sure how the smell of old cigarettes and burnt coils that the machines have helped him though.
