There is a higher probability of getting struck twice by lightening than dying of coronavirus...don’t believe the hype

Quoted from Zablon:

Um...have you checked the age demographic of this forum??

Touché!

Trying to track a disease is like trying to predict the weather.

Instead of stopping sporting events, why can’t they just do the forehead temperature check like they have been screening people in China?

1.386B people in China
3,158 deaths
0.0002278%

US population 325M
Multiplied by the China Death %
74,051 deaths in US

Quoted from NEW-B:

Your decimal point is in the wrong place. 325,000,000 * 0.0002278%/100 = 740.35

Thank you...I was distracted after walking into my bathroom and seeing this:

I’m blaming Tom Hanks. Pretty sure he‘s responsible for its spread down here.

I just heard that the government is going to freeze all bank cash assets and ban the use of cash for any and all purchases to eliminate hand to hand transmissions. Credit or debit only. WTF!?!?

#682 4 years ago
Quoted from Zablon:

Seems like a stretch, but who knows. Source?

I have a buddy who works for the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City

Quoted from RTR:

Let's see, I pay $1800 a month for medical insurance for my family of 3. Plus whatever I pay out of pocket. Lets call it $25,000/year in years we don't get sick. Would I pay an extra 30% or so for my pinball machines in exchange for free healthcare?
Yes, I probably would.

The “Affordable Care Act” doesn’t seem so affordable now, does it. It’s because the names of the bills the government passes are exact opposite of what they are actually doing

#729 4 years ago
Quoted from RTR:

Sorry about that, but thanks for asking - the red countries are the ones without free or universal healthcare coverage of some sort.
My only point was that most countries, especially the developed ones, have figured it out and made commitments to providing healthcare to their citizens and residents.

What are the other colors? Especially the yellow

Quoted from Honch:

I'm really surprised that Trump and the Congress arent taking more precautions to protect themselves.

It’s because the rules don’t apply to them. Just like the laws they ALL pass. As government employees, they should be mandated to use the VA for all their healthcare needs.

Quoted from thedefog:

Hey guys, do you have enough TP?
The average American uses 4 rolls of TP a day, and consumes more than 10 a week, making the grand total for most households over 600+ rolls a month![quoted image]

What??? 4 rolls of TP a day? It takes me a month or more to go through a roll. Who’s using more than 4 to make mine and theirs average to 4?

However anyone wants to shake it, there is one glowing fact in all of this:

CHINA HAS US BY THE NUTS !

Quoted from o-din:

I just hope it skips gen-x. They so far seem like the most selfish, self centered bunch.

Just when I start warming up to o-din again, he goes and makes a comment like this. If anything, Gen X is the most overlooked and disrespected generation of them all. It’s Boomers this and Millennials that, all the time. Gen X is the most self sufficient generation of all time

So if the window worker at the drive thru restaurant or has the virus, or picks it up from handling cash and/or credit cards, wouldn’t they then infect everyone coming through....the same people who just made the food run for the isolated people at home. Yikes! You can run but you can’t hide!

Is there a political police thread on pinside?

He was called a racist for banning travel from China while in the middle of impeachment hearings. Looks like the best move of the 21st century so far.

Where are the moderators to stop all the political talk here?

Lmao!
Perfect satire. Yes, this is what Fox News is likely saying. Well done!

It’s what everyone is saying

I learned as a child is that ANYONE can become president. I now have proof that those teachers were correct.

Anyone .... except gay apples. Mayor Pete was the sanest candidate and look what the open minded democrats did to him.

Okay, I will stop! Elbow bump instead of a handshake?

Let’s start with a toe tap and see how that goes first! Lol. I’ll stop too

So if the delivery driver has it, how does people staying in their house gonna be safe?

Or the cashier wearing gloves to protect themselves handling everyone’s cash and cards and food and drinks?

Everyone will be exposed eventually. False sense of security

Quoted from Wickerman2:

You wash your hands or sanitize after the interaction. Throw out packaging, wash your hands/sanitize. Clean off things that come from other people. Not rocket surgery.

When the cook has it and sneezes on your food?

#1701 4 years ago
Quoted from Wickerman2:

Just saw this addressed in an interview. You can ingest it and it’s harmless to your gi system.
Anything else you negative nelly?

No. I’m good for now. All of the unmoderated political posts got to me ...
